Women Grievances Cell

Women’s Grievance Redressal Cell is a community of women in Government polytechnic College, Ashoknagar, who share a common purpose to learn, educate and collaborate on ideas that have the power to effect meaningful and positive change while fighting the odds they face!!

“Sexual harassment” includes such unwelcome sexually determined behavior, whether directly or otherwise, as:

physical contact and advances
demand or request for sexual favors
sexually colored remarks
showing any pornography, or
any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual

nature

Warning
Written apology
Bond of good behavior
Adverse remark in the Confidential Report
Stopping of increments/promotion
Suspension
Dismissal

Any other relevant mechanism

Objectives:

To resolve issues pertaining to girl’s/women’s sexual harassment.

To equip the female students, faculty and staff members with knowledge of their legal rights.

To safeguard the rights of female students, faculty and staff members.

To provide a platform for listening to complaints and redressal of grievances.

To incorporate hygiene habits and ensure a healthy atmosphere in and around the college.

Complaint Procedure:

Students report their grievance to their Class Teacher/HOD or Women’s Grievance Redressal committee members.

Complaint and Redressal mechanism:

After knowing grievance of students, class Mentor discusses it with the HOD and then an appropriate solution is find out. If not solved at this level, then grievance is taken up to women’s grievance redressal committee. The complainant shall be summoned to hear complaints (if necessary). After hearing of complaints, the committee shall take appropriate decision.
